I hope this message finds you all safe and well!
It has been brought to the Committee’s attention that there is a number of Member Carts that have been operating outside of the Geo-Fencing restrictions that have been applied to the Club Carts. Whilst the committee acknowledges that Member Carts do not have the Geo-Fencing Software built into them, there is an element of common sense and discretion that needs to be applied. Members who have their own carts are longstanding within the club and are aware of the areas of the course that are affected by rain and wet weather. Also, if a member is using their own cart with a group that may also be using a club supplied cart, it is a fair assertion that, if the Club Cart cannot drive somewhere on the course or fairway, then the member cart should not be travelling in that area.
If Member Carts continue to operate in restricted areas and cause damage to the golf course, the Committee will look to recommend to the RSL that Member Cart access be removed until the course is no longer affected by surface water and ground saturation.
The committee would like to thank all members in advance for the ongoing consideration to the course conditions.
Happy Golfing,
Chris Johnston
Captain – Men’s Golf Committee
